Big Rock Erratic

Location: Okotoks, Alberta, Canada

As you pass through the flat lands you suddenly come across the 2 giant rocks in the middle of an open field. Where did they come from? How did they get here? Would you believe us if we said they hitched a ride? Well, they did.

Thousands and thousands of years ago, these rocks actually took a piggy back ride from melting glaciers as they moved across the Alberta, Canada Prairie-lands. They left the glaciers in the distance and rode the icebergs until they eventually melted. Ended up in an open field, and creating a quick pit stop for anyone interested in taking a look.
