Location: Goodland, Kansas
Located in the Western part of Kansas, home to…well really not a whole lot. The town of Goodland wanted something that would bring people to the town. In 2000, Canadian artist Cameron Cross came up with the idea for the world’s largest easel. And what better painting to put on it then Van Gogh’s “Sunflower” for the “Sunflower State” of Kansas. So that they did. A 32x24ft painting now rests on the 80ft tall easel.
