Location: Cuervo, New Mexico
Here is where all my Exploring The Obscure curiousity began. Cuervo, New Mexico. A quaint ghost town along the busy Interstate-40 just outside of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. This town thrived off the once busy rail road traffic on the edge of town. That was until, I-40 was built right through the town. Never being able to recover from that, the town was slowly left to rust in the New Mexican heat sometime in the 1950’s/60’s. Today, you can roam around the roadside town and see the church, school with desks, houses, cars and clothes, all left behind.
